【摘要】:Breakdependsonthefiberstructureandontherelationbetweenthegrainandotherstrataoftheleather.Afinebreak,oragrainpatternwhichshowsmanyfinewrinkleswhenitisbenttoformaconcavesurface,asitisinthevampofashoe,reflectsfavorablyuponappearanceandserviceability.Acoarsebreak,ontheotherhand,whereafewcoarsewrinklesareformedonbendingthegraintoformaconcavesurfacemayindicatethatthegrainlayerisseparatingfromthecoriumormainstratumasinpipeyleather.Shoesmadefromfine-breakleatheraremoreattractiveandtendtowearlongerthanshoesmadefromcoarse-breakleather.(SeeMIL-STD663andtheALCAJournal).1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthebreakpatternofshoeupperleatherusinganarbitrarybreakscale.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytowetblue.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
