【摘要】:Thedeterminationofactinideelementsbyalphaspectrometrymeasurementisanessentialpartofmanyenvironmentalresearchandmonitoringprograms.Alphaspectrometrymeasurementsidentifyandquantifythealpha-emittingactinideelements.Avarietyofseparationmethodswilltypicallypreceedtheelectrodepositionofasampleforalphaspectrometrymeasurements.Inadditiontotheelectrodepositionprocedurepresentedinthispractice,thescientificliteraturecontainsotherproceduresforactinideelectrodeposition.Note18212;AnalternatemethodformountingactinidesforalphaspectrometrymeasurementsbycoprecipitationwithneodymiumfluorideisdescribedinTestMethodsC1163.1.1Thispracticecoversthepreparationofseparatedactinidefractionsforalphaspectrometrymeasurement.Itisapplicabletoanyoftheactinidesthatcanbedissolvedindiluteammoniumsulfatesolution.Examplesofapplicableactinidefractionswouldbethefinalelutionfromanionexchangeseparationorthefinalstripfromasolventextractionseparation.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
