【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesasmall-scalemethodforassessingthemasslossrateofessentiallyflatspecimensexposedinthehorizontalorientationtocontrolledlevelsofradiantheatingwithanexternaligniterunderwell-ventilatedconditions.Themasslossrateisdeterminedbymeasurementofthespecimenmassandisderivednumerically.Thetimetoignition(sustainedflaming)isalsomeasuredinthistest.Masslossratecanbeusedasanindirectmeasureofheatreleaserateformanyproducts.Howeversomeproducts,e.g.thosewithhighwatercontent,willhavemasslossratesthatarenotsocloselylinkedtoheatreleaserates.SuchproductsneedtobetestedinaccordancewithISO5660-1forcorrectassessmentofheatrelease.
